Air Force

The last football game of the season is fast approaching. SJSU will be playing against the Air Force. The Spartan marching band is excited to welcome and play with the U.S. Air Force band at the game. It is always motivating having another band present to watch. When the Spartan marching band performs at halftime, the people in the crowd are usually unaware of what is truly going on unless they have had some music experience. It is always a nice change having people who do what you do in the crowd.

The United States Air Force band has over 179 members.  The U.S. Air Force band was established on October 6, 1941.  “The United States Air Force Band” is the title of the Air Force’s premier musical squadron which includes not the Concert Band, Singing Sergeants, the Airmen of Note, the USAF Strings, Ceremonial Brass, Max Impact, Chamber Players, and a myriad of other ensemble combinations, including rock, pop, country, and dedicated show units” (The Official Web Site of The United States Air Force Band).

This upcoming game is looking to be quite a musical one.
